With lots of research and outreach, we met Shamika Fusco who is the Lyell Branch library supervisor in Rochester, N.Y. While thinking about Bull’s Head area revitalization, we wanted to listen to Fusco’s past experiences growing up in an area that was once full of vibrant small businesses. She was then able to expand on how her contribution as an outreach librarian has affected the community.

Throughout this story, I was able to really immerse myself in the community and Bull’s Head area. I would make sure I ate at local restaurants, visited small businesses, participated in community events, and listened to community members. Doing this drove my storytelling and conversations with the community.
